Through the study of technology applications, students make informed decisions by understanding current and emerging technologies, including technology systems, appropriate digital tools, and personal learning networks. As competent researchers and responsible digital citizens, students use creative and computational thinking to solve problems while developing career and college readiness skills.

This course is a semester long and is paired with Career Investigations. Students apply technical skills to address business applications of emerging technologies. Students enhance reading, writing, computing, communication, and reasoning skills and apply them to the business environment.

Students will learn the many aspects of computer programs including some coding language as well as online safety. This course is for 8th graders who may be interested in participating in coding classes in high school.

This course is reserved for GT students however, any student who would like to take this elective must be enrolled in at least two Pre AP classes, have all A’s & B’s and have scored Meets or Masters on most recent STAAR tests. Students will be doing project based learning to enhance curriculum across the disciplines.
Yearbook
Take pictures and learn how to edit and crop photos. Students will learn how to lay out pages and create visually appealing pages for the school yearbook.
